Shortly before the last break there was a big hand on table 14. Giovanni Piccioni, the winner of the Vamos Poker Tour Main Event also made the prize money here in the Main Event at the Festival Series. He was taken out in three way all in, when holding A 3 for his last 185k. He found himself in bad shape, up against J J and A A .
A 3 on the flop gave him some hope, but he was not able to improve. Lucien Jouanneau’s pocket jacks did not improve either and Italian Pasquale Grimaldi who held the aces added a nice chunk to his growing stack.
