Day 1c of the €500,000 guaranteed €550 Main Event attracted 166 entries to bring the total up to 362 entries when taking into account the 196 entries that hopped into action during the first two opening flights.
Less than one-third of the field bagged chips with Canada's Kelly Kellner leading the 49 survivors with 349,000 to push him miles ahead of the 207,000 that Day 1b chip leader Daniel Nagy advanced with. So far, 108 players have bagged and tagged chips with many more to come with three more opening flights to go.
Hungary's Attila Leeb with 219,000 would have bagged the overall lead if not for Kellner performing better and Daniel Stacey (210,000) and Theodoros Karagiannis (202,000) also advanced with more than 200,000.
The Festival Series Tallinn Main Event champion Eirik Kristiansen got into the mix in hopes of starting his path to becoming the first two-time TFS Main Event champion. He bowed out during the seventh level of the day and will need to try again in other to join two other Main Event champions who bagged yesterday on Day 1b in 2022 The Festival Series Bratislava Main Event champion Michel Molenaar (176,000) and 2021 The Festival Series Bratislava Main Event champion Martin Mauthner (44,000).
This brings an end to the core part of our blog for the evening, although we will update some of the side events if they end at a reasonable time. Also, we will update later this evening the final chip counts from the turbo Day 1d and the final chip counts from the €250 The Hendon Mob Championship after it plays down to 22 players or less. Rest assured that whatever we don't update tonight, we will be back to update last night's results in the morning.
For those still looking for some late-night action, the €125 Thursday Turbo Madness is about to kick off in a few minutes.
In the meantime, check out the final Day 1c chip counts of the Main Event below:
