Direct from Hendon (North London represent!) to the heart of Bratislava! Over in the main tournament area - a conveniently short stroll via the bar for your bloggers - The Hendon Mob Warm Up has begun. A fairly healthy 51-strong field has already coughed up their €250 buy-ins, and that number is rising rapidly. Players currently seated include circuit stalwarts Johan Goslings, Per Lindström and Peder Behr, and judging by the number of players mistaking the bloggers' desk in the Sviten Special room for the reg desk, they will soon be joined by plenty more.
Indeed, while the casino downstairs undoubtedly has its charms, the upstairs bit of this complex is clearly the place to be tonight. As well as the two tournaments (37/51 remain in the Sviten, btw), we understand that the Welcome Drinks, by which of course we mean Free Drinks, have been pushed back to 8pm and will now be taking place in the bar bit that separates the two tournament areas. Most convenient for your dedicated reporters who will of course be bringing you full coverage from that in due course.
