Hand for Hand, But for How Long?

I just witnessed a double up - Sandeep Nene's J J held against David Ankava's A Q on a 6 6 K 6 7 board and he's now up to 165k. Ankava is down to just 23k, right as the TD announces we're going hand for hand with 164 players remaining. An unusual move, seeing as we're still four places away from the money. This "bubble" could take some time - it's also worth noting that the Main Event is currently spread across two floors, with several tables downstairs in the Ashoka room and the bulk of the players still upstairs in the main tournament area. In addition, rather than the usual practice of deducting two minutes from the clock for every hand played, the clock here seems to have just actually stop stopped. Please stand by; cross your fingers, but don't hold your breath...
