Late Nights But Early Days Yet

Ylva Thorsrud the festival bratislava coolbet ambassador
None of this tonight for Ylva Thorsrud

An impressive number of players we've chatted to today have come directly from the legendarily heavy Norwegian Championships. Some (Ylva Thorsrud, for example) are being sensible and just dropped by the casino for a quick glass of wine and a hello before retiring early ahead of tomorrow's Main Event. Others (Ronny and Evi Albrigtsen you heroes, we're looking at you) have decided that sleep is for the weak and dived straight back into the game - the husband and wife team are on three bullets so far between them in The Hendon Mob Warm Up and are looking weary but happy as they grind their respective ways towards hopefully a Day 2. Incidentally we understand that The Hendon Mob Warm Up is scheduled to quit for the night at around 2.30am. We can't guarantee that we'll make it that late, what with the Main starting tomorrow, but we'll have chip counts etc for you here on the blog before Day 2 starts at 1pm.

Meanwhile there are 22 players left in the Sviten Special, and apparently the intention is to quit when they're down to 14 players/two seven-handed tables. However, "This is The Festival," muses the wise TD when I ask for confirmation, "So anything may happen." I strongly suspect if they're not there by the next break in an hour's time they may well put it to the vote instead. You've got to pace yourself at The Festival - this party has hardly even started yet.
