Slow Start

It wouldn't normally occur to me to report any hands this early in the day, but with nothing running except the Main Event until 2pm, I took a stroll around Day 1b. I lurked around Martin Mauthner and Johan Gosling's table for a while hoping to see some action, but everyone there seems to be taking it pretty easy still. Across the room I saw quite a large pot, into which Alberto Petite Alvarez had pushed his last 12k - a roughly pot-sized bet - on the river of an Ah 5s 2s 8h 6d board. That was as much excitement as I was going to get though - his opponent Gerhard Bock folded, and now both players are back to their starting stacks, give or take a few k.

If there are any big stacks out there, we'll find them shortly - players will be taking a break in a couple minutes and we'll go get you some chip counts.
