Amazing Field in the 2023 The Festival Series Malta Main Event
The Festival Series Malta has been a massive hit at Portomaso Casino from May 15-21 and we thank the players for making it a success!
Late registration of The Festival Series Malta €550 Main Event closed after the first two levels of Day 2 were played out and the final numbers are in. We are thrilled to announce that this was The Festival's third-largest Main Event with 617 entries creating a €296,610 prize pool. This is only behind our two Main Events in Bratislava in 2021 and 2022 at Banco Casino and ahead of the 2022 The Festival Series Tallinn and the 2023 The Festival Series Nottingham.
Both of The Festival Series events in Bratislava boasted Main Events with guarantees. Therefore there was a heavy emphasis on the Main Event and therefore less attention on the side events for many of the players in attendance. This time around, The Festival Series opted to run the Main Event without a guarantee and increase the focus on all of the side events.
The side events, especially the mixed-game and casino events are setting attendance records left and right and that puts a massive smile on our faces. Our hospitality events have also been off-the-charts with the help of our amazing hospitality team and the wonderful atmosphere Malta provides.

€60,700 Top Prize in the Main Event
Laila Hawaszadeh entered Day 2 with the chip lead in the Main Event. Shortly after late registration was closed the floor announced that the top 71 players will walk away with at least a €1,000 min-cash with tomorrow's winner going home with a €60,700 top prize.
