Angelegot From Sweden Wins the Opening Event of the Festival Series Online
The first major tournament of the Festival Series Online powered by 888poker has finished last night and the $109 tournament with a $100,000 guarantee was won by the Swedish player Angelegot. He took home over $14,600 in prize money after a heads-up deal.
Angelegot Wins the Opening Event
With a $100,000 guarantee, The Festival Online's two-day Opening Event was by far the biggest tournament of the series this past Sunday. The final table was played last night and broadcast live on 888poker's Twitch channel. David Tuchman and Nick Wealthall commented on the action and after a little under two hours, Swedish player Angelelot prevailed heads-up against his British opponent DarioPourzan.

With exactly 1,000 entries, the opening event reached the $100,000 guarantee on the dot and after playing down to the final nine players on Sunday night, they returned Monday night to play for the title and lion's share of the prize money.
After Brazil's DantonGomes was eliminated in 3rd place, the two remaining players quickly agreed on a deal. Sweden's Angelegot began heads-up with just fewer chips than his British opponent DarioPourzan. However, he was able to double up with J-J against A-9 after a massive preflop all-in.
After that, DarioPourzan was left with less than two big blinds. Although he managed to double up his small stack several times, he ended up losing all his chips as he ran out of luck when he was all-in with A-Q preflop against J-5 and Angelegot hit a 5 on the flop. TrustMeBRO wins the Opening High Roller
Already on Sunday, the Opening High Roller was finished. This tournament had a much higher buy-in and was over in a little under seven hours.
