Once you are involved in the poker environment and been in the scene for quite a while, you have to be familiar with side bets (so called probets). The Festival Series is going into its third year in the scene, but founder Martin ‘Franke’ von Zweigbergk is a true dinosaur of the industry. In all his career he was involved in trying to make unique poker events which are not only for players, but also made by players. Of course, Franke can’t do this alone and for decades he has a true companion in Mauritz Altikardes. The Head of Poker from PokerListings always tries to keep up with his fellow Swedish friend, which results of plenty of Battle of the Fishes. This time everyone is invited to join the ride!

The Festival Series is down to its third stop this year and the last one of 2023. Familiar ground has been chosen as destination as the Banco Casino in Bratislava hosted this mixed games festival already two times before. The expectation is that with this event all records will be broken when it comes to total entries of the Main Event and at the event all together. From November 26^th until December 3^rd, poker players from all around the glove can experience a true ode to poker as the event is once again fully-packed with over 50 events. This time two new tournaments are on the schedule with the Mixed Games Main Event, and the Crazy Pineapple Tournament.

Let’s Introduce the Candidates:

If you have been around at previous events at The Festival Series, or have been following the escapades of PokerListings, the names and presence of both candidates are undisputed. On poker events in the past and the presence they are often to be found in the poker area, the registration desk, or at the bar. If they are not around, they have distanced themselves from society to be able to play their favourite heads-up cards game ‘Chicago’ in utter silence.
