So Much to Play, So Little Time – The Second TFO Weekend

With so many hands being dealt and even more left to be played, it's getting harder and harder to keep up with The Festival Online 2024 (August 3rd - August 19th). Still, who would we be if we didn't give it our best shot?
In this article, you'll find a closer look at all the poker action that went down during the second weekend of The Festival Online. While we're covering a shorter time span that with our last weekly TFO recap, don't let that fool you. There was still plenty of action to go around.
The Festival Series Online - Day 7 (August 9th)
When we last left off, the three Big KO had just wrapped up, opening Friday to a world of Bounty and Rebuy tournaments. First on the roster were three Bounties followed closely by the two Rebuy tournaments.
The Three Friday Bounties
The € 12,50 Bounty came with the smallest GTD of the three, a total of € 10,000 to be exact. Still, this doesn't mean it came with any less action. After hours of grinding at the virtual tables, CowbellCity beat out the other 186 players, claiming the first place prize of € 5.272,67.
Running parallel was € 25 Bounty, with a € 20,000 GTD. As you'd expect, this tournament drew in quite a crowd, with 723 registering for the showdown. Ultimately, it was borqaaa55 who went away with the top prize of € 1.262,27.
The final bounty of the day was consequentially the biggest one. The € 125 Bounty drew in the largest player pool of the day (889) and a € 20,000 GTD to match. After some serious grind (and skill), IdontChazeBluff was took it home, along with a prize of € 3.130,01.
The Two Friday Rebuys
Not long after the Bounty tournaments took off, The Festival Online was already on to the next - next two Rebuy tournaments to be exact.
The first was a € 12,50 Rebuy, with the lowest GRD of the day, just € 5,000. Still, this didn't stop the tournament from being popular among players, with 183 signing up. When the last cards were dealt, it was RegRecreativo who came out on top, with a € 2.225 prize to match.
The second Rebuy tournament was also the biggest of the night. The € 25 Rebuy came with a € 10,000 and 224 registered players. After a few tricky hands and a bit of luck, estilista won it all, including the € 1.092,33 first place prize.
The Festival Series Online - Day 8 (August 10th)
With the Friday tournaments completed, it was officially time to kick off the weekend festivities, and you know The Festival Online did it in style. Saturday saw three separate (but parallel) Mystery tournaments, with varying buy-ins and prize pools.
Let's start small. The € 12,50 Mystery had a € 10,000, which attracted 263 players in total. In the end, it was all above board for player IhaveCheatCode who ended up taking home first place and the € 5.324,48 that came with.
The second Mystery tournament of the day was € 30 Mystery with a € 15,000 GTD. Somewhat surprisingly, it attracted the biggest player pool of the day (987), almost four times larger than the € 12,50 Mystery. After hours of skillful play, player nicknamed rexrough198 proved what they were made of, taking down the event and claiming the first place prize (€ 2.139).
The final mystery tournament of the day was the € 100 Mystery. Along with having the biggest buy-in of the day, the tournament also had the biggest GTD, valued at € 20,000. Out of the 610 who registered for the event, smitty336 ultimately came up on top, claiming first place and its prize (€ 1.774,42).
The Festival Series Online - Day 9 (August 11th)
In true TFO fashion, the last day of the week was also the busiest. Everything started off mid-day with the € 100 Starter. Its € 12,500 prize pool managed to attract 138 registered players. Out of the bunch, it was stakerdark356 who took home the first place, as well as the prize that came with it (€ 3.303,73).
The Three Sunday Slammers
If the first event was the starter, than the next three Slammers were the appetizers, all with different buy-ins and prize pools.
Even though the first € 20 Slammer was the smallest of the bunch, it still racked up an impressive € 20,000 prize pool and counted a whopping 1384 players - more than we've seen in any other event this weekend. Out of the thousands that came to play, lopessz was the one left standing in the end. Along with the first place title, the players also took home the biggest prize of the weekend, an insane € 6.937.
The bigger of the two, the € 50 Slammer ran parallel. While its € 55,000 GTD didn't attract as many players, it came close with 1047 users registered and ready to play. With some shenanigans and mad skills, crazyChoo won the entire thing, going home with an impressive € 2.574,50.
The final slammer of the weekend was dedicated to all those Omaha fans at The Festival Online. The € 100 PLOMMER came with a € 5,000 GTD that drew in 59 registered players, the smallest player pool of the weekend. Snake292929 turned out to be the player to beat, taking out the competition and grabbing the first place prize € 1.876,14.
Two More Masters
if the Starters and Slammers weren't enough, there was two Masters that came as dessert. The first of the two, the € 15 Masters, came with a € 10,000 and a whopping 748 registered players. After hours of intense play, 1spanec1 took down the event, claiming the € 1.737,51 prize along the way.
The € 150 Masters ran parallel to the first, but came with a somewhat bigger prize pool, € 100,000 to be exact. Out of the 830 registered players, SunRunAndylula was the last player standing, securing the biggest first place prize of the weekend, a whopping € 16.039,21.
