The Festival Online- A Weekend Full of Action!

At this point The Festival Online 2024 (august 3rd - August 19th) has been running on the iPoker Netwrok for just a few short days and yet, we already have the first events (and their winners) in the books. So, logically, it's time to discuss the results.

This will be the first recap article of the online series, covering all the events, biggest wins, and overall poker action! For a complete list of all the events and winners, check out The Festival Online 2024 Results - updated daily!

The Festival Series Online - Day 1 (August 3rd)

The Festival curtains went up on Saturday with three different warm up events, all kicking off at 16:00 GMT.

The € 5,000 GTD Warmup attracted the biggest crowd, with a total of 429 registered entries. Even though the competition was stiff, it was R1EVOLU2ION who ultimately came up on top, with a secured € 669.58 prize.

Even though the €10,000 Warmup saw a somewhat smaller crowd of 310 entries, the payouts were much more impressive. Ranking first overall, CantCrushMe came away from the table with an impressive € 1,843.58.

The third €30,000 Warmup event came with the most impressive GTD (€30,000) and expectedly the most expensive buy-in (€125). As a result, the winner T111191 walked away with a € 6,052.43 prize.

The Festival Series Online - Day 2 (August 4th)

Safe to say, Day 2 (August 4th) is where things started to get interesting. With the Warmup events complete, it was time for the starters, slammers, and openers - none disappointed.

Sunday kicked off with € 12,500 Starter at 15:00 GMT. The first event of the day saw a solid stack of entries, 122 in total. However, it was ultimately DaveNitDave who finished first a prize of € 3.139,67.

One of the most anticipated events of the day, the € 55,000 Slammer began just half an hour later. It drew in an impressive crowd, counting 1113 registered entries and one clear winner Freedjoker. While the player name might suggest otherwise, the winning amount was no laughing matter, stacking up at € 7.540,32.

The Openers

Somewhere close to 16:30, it was time for the Openers, four different ones to be exact. Three of them were played as Hold'em, while one was a PLO.

The € 20,000 Opener (buy-in € 30) had an impressive turnout of almost 700 entries, 689 for those who are counting. Here, first place and a € 3.048,76 prize went to player kelsenlab99.

On the other hand, the € 100,000 Opener, which came with the biggest GTD of the day, drew in a relatively smaller crowd of 84 players. Out of the bunch, it was JorgitoElSalchi who snagged first place and the € 6.267,74 prize that came with it.

The € 5,000 PLOPENER ran parallel to these events, drawing in a total of 134 Omaha lovers. Ultimately, their could be only one winner and this time around it was none other than sailorcool834, who took home an impressive € 1.338,61.

Maybe unexpectedly, it was the € 20,000 Opener (buy-in € 250) that attracted the most attention (and biggest player pool). The event saw a whopping total of 1122 registered entries and as a result, the final prizes reached some impressive numbers. CATCLOWN came out as the winner with a prize of € 15.515,18, trailed not so closely behind by Rationalunicorn2 (€ 7.967,64) and Originalfirst18 (€ 5.135,30)

The Mysteries

After the Openers were well under way, two more Mystery events kicked off at 18:30 GMT.

The first of the two was € 10,000 Mystery, which had a buy-in of just € 12,50 and a player pool of 487. This made for some solid poker action, in which player GiveJust1Time managed to snag the first place title and the accompanying € 3.348,15 prize.

On the other end ran a parallel, albeit bigger event, the € 20,000 Mystery, which saw 750 registered entries. Here, LLIalfey came out the winner with a prize of € 1.110,32.

The Masters

Two Masters events also kicked off on Sunday, the € 1,250 Masters and the € 30,000 Masters. As both are still running on the iPoker network, we're expecting the results to start coming in soon.

For now, all that's left is to congratulate all the winners thus far and wish all the rest the best of luck in the up and coming Festival Online events!
