This year, Franke heads to Iceland to discover what fuels their passion, joining locals in qualifiers before they set out to Bratislava. As mentioned, the qualifier will take place on the 8th of October, guaranteeing a whopping number of 10x tickets for the €50 Weekly Finals. These finals, take place every Wednesday of the week, all the way up to the event itself in Bratislava! The package guaranteed in this last step is worth €1,600 and covers hotel accommodation, Main Event, hospitality events, and more.

Franke’s Icelandic Road Trip
This week, Franke is taking off for Iceland to get an up-close look at Icelandic poker culture. He’ll kick off with an online locals-only tournament, then set out to explore the stunning southern coastline, meeting locals, hearing their stories, and searching for the real Icelandic “Vikings.” The adventure culminates on Saturday, October 12th, in Reykjavik, where Icelanders and visitors alike will celebrate poker with a live satellite tournament to qualify for The Festival Bratislava. We expect to see at least three packages go out to the local players, sending more Icelandic energy to Bratislava for the Grand Final of 2024, from November 18th to 24th. The journey will be documented on The Festival’s YouTube channel and social media, so you won’t miss a moment of the action.
The Battle of the Vikings: Northerners Welcome!
It’s not only Icelanders who are invited to join this Viking invasion. Players from across the Nordic region—Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Estonia—are encouraged to participate, too! In collaboration with Coolbet, The Festival is launching the Battle of the Vikings, an online qualifier series for players from all five northern nations. Mark your calendars for Thursday, October 10th, and Thursday, October 17th at 20:00 CET, when The Festival Vikings tournaments will take place, each guaranteeing two €1600 packages.
