The Hendon Mob & The Festival: A Winning Combo in Bratislava
Holmes and Watson, Laurel and Hardy, Simon and Garfunkel, C-3PO and R-2D2 … history has had its fair share of great double acts. Introducing The Hendon Mob and The Festival, the poker world’s latest partnership that aims to prove the old adage that something is greater than the sum of its parts. Two of poker’s most ‘happening’ brands are teaming up for the return of The Festival to the excellent Banco Casino Bratislava, 10-16 October.
When Slovakia’s capital once again plays host to this exciting series, which features both casino and sports betting competitions running alongside the poker offerings, one of the early events in what promises to be an action-packed schedule will be The Hendon Mob Championship (THMC) Grand Final Warm Up.
Last year’s THMC Bratislava attracted 820 entries in the battle for a €175,275 prize pool. This time around, the €250 to buy-in THMC Grand Final Warm Up will serve as more than a tasty appetiser, with six seats being awarded to the THMC Grand Final, which will take place at the same venue (21-27 November). Bringing together players from all nations, all backgrounds and all levels of poker experience is at the heart of what we do at THM/GPI, and this is central to what Franke and his team are doing with The Festival; that’s why we’re delighted to be on board as a partner."
The Festival is much more than a poker series
While poker is a great game, five minutes listening to typical conversations at the tables will confirm that poker players also like to enjoy casino games and sports betting. The megabucks €550 buy-in €500K GTD Main Event is the most ‘conventional’ aspect, with a Sviten Special, PLO Masters, Knockout, H.O.R.S.E, Heads-Up and Open Face Chinese just a sample of what to look forward to. Furthermore, cash games will run literally throughout the duration of The Festival.
