Christoforou held the A A and nearly lost a big pot and perhaps his tournament life if not improving to a set of aces on the river as Burany was ahead on the flop and turn with his 9 9 only to be down to crumbs in his stack.
Meanwhile, Christoforou snagged the chip lead from Gabriel Rymar with around 13 million chips to 11 million.
