We just saw Niklas Blomqvist lose his tournament life with top pair. Now the Brit
David Clark, who is already on his 2nd bullet after busting out as the first player today, lost most of his chips after rivering the same hand type - apparently, top pair is not always a monster…

We arrived at his table with the board reading 9 7 2 7 and 12k in the middle. Clark checked and his opponent Viktor Persson bet 7k. Clark called the bet. The river brought the Q and again Clark checked. Now Persson made it 12k and Clark quickly called. He turned over K Q for a rivered top pair.

But his top pair was no match against Persson's boat with 9 7 .

Viktor Persson - 67,000
David Clark - 10,000
