We were proud of The Festival Series founder Martin "Franke" von Zweigbergk for still being in the Main Event. Hopefully, we will have a different reason to be proud as Franke just hit the rail. We asked what happened, and he first shared, "I busted to Canada."
We don't blame Canada or our Canadian friend Eric Wasylenko at all for what happened who was on 165,000 in chips after the following hand.
Franke shared that he jammed blind for about 50,000 and was called by Wasylenko. Franke shared he had live cards with the four-three against Wasylenko's ace-king.
Franke pulled ahead after a four hit the flop and was still ahead with a blank hitting the turn. Wasylenko had both a better flush draw and two over cards for Franke to sweat. Unfortunately for Franke, an ace spiked the river and Franke was on the rail.
"It is better that I don't re-enter and go all-in every hand," Franke shared after hitting the rail. "I will re-enter tomorrow. But for now, I am off to crush the roulette tournament."
