Somewhere amid what feels like about a hundred side events, Day 1b of the Main rolls on. There are currently 96/160 entries seated at the tables, and we appear to have a new chip leader - Jari Karkkainen seems to have amassed something in the region of 175k, although the circumstances surrounding this will have to remain a mystery for now.
Incidentally, we have already exceeded the Day 1b field at last year's Festival in Bratislava event (132), and registration of course remains open for the entirety of play today and beyond. This year's event also features one more start day than last time - so although we may be hovering around the 300-entry mark for the moment, we are fairly confident that we'll meet that €500,000 guarantee before this event becomes a freezeout on Saturday.
