We're very close to breaking the 100-entry mark in The Hendon Mob Warm Up, and it has just been brought to my attention that as well as the likely very healthy prize money, the last five players standing in this event as it nears its conclusion tomorrow will receive an additional prize of a €250 buy-in for The Hendon Mob's event here at Banco Casino Bratislava in November. Extremely generous of them.
Continuing the general goodwill, over in the Sviten Special several waitresses have appeared bearing enormous trays weighed down with an impossible number of shot glasses containing some sort of delightful local specialty liquor. L'chaim, as we always say in Hendon.
Meanwhile, the late reg for the Sviten Special has been closed. The tournament has 59 runners - almost double the number we had last year. Over €12,000 are in the prize pool and we will have detailed payout information in a short while.
