Sviten Special. I bet you'd forgotten all about it, hadn't you? Whatever; for the €250 Sviten Special event which dominated our blog through most of yesterday before we abandoned it to get a few hours' sleep did not in fact conclude last night - rather, they played down to a seven-handed final table, which is due to begin in just a few minutes' time.
Chip leader among the last seven standing is Peter Johansson, although what with The Festival regulars Totti Lind and Matteo Crapanzano among his opponents, the trophy and €4,616 are still very much up for grabs. Plus also the fact that this game is undeniably extremely silly may also act as a bit of a leveller/randomiser.
In case you've forgotten since yesterday (we saw you all in the bar last night), Sviten Special is a sort of Omaha/Draw hybrid, with added shouting usually and beers being knocked over etc - although that may have just been while Franke was still in on one of his three bullets. It's also enormously entertaining as a spectator sport, so do come on down and rail the madness - it's set to be a good show.
These are the seats and stacks as they will be in 10 minutes' time when the cards get in the air. Good luck to all of you.
