A Christmas Gift for Our Poker Community: Two New Events Added to The Festival Bratislava
Christmas is a time for giving, surprises, and bringing people together. This year, The Festival is celebrating the holiday season by delivering a special present to our poker community. On this Christmas Day, we are delighted to announce two brand-new events that will make their debut at the next Festival in Bratislava.
These additions are our way of saying thank you to the players who continue to support and shape The Festival experience. Let’s take a deeper look at the new presents we have in store for you for the upcoming year!
Event #1: €1,100 The Festival 10-Game Mix
The Festival's own Franke participated recently at this event in the EPT in Prague and while he only ended up with a participation trophy, he noticed how perfect this event would fit for The Festival Series. While The Festival Series is of course all about Mix games, the new format of the 10-game mix will bring even more action to the table, in a large selection of games.
Games included in the 10-Game Mix:
- Fixed Limit 2-7 Triple Draw
- Pot Limit Omaha
- Fixed Limit Stud High-Low 8 or Better
- Fixed Limit Badugi
- Big O (Pot Limit)
- Fixed Limit Stud
- Pot Limit 2-7 Double Draw
- Fixed Limit Omaha High-Low 8 or Better
- Fixed Limit Sviten Special
- Fixed Limit Razz
Yes indeed, this is not the classic 10-game mix like it used to be played but we gave it a modern twist. Both Limit Hold’em and No Limit Hold’em have been replaced by Fixed Limit Sviten Special and Big O. Both games have been popular variations in previous Festival stops and work perfectly in this new event.
Also 2-7 Single Draw has been replaced by Pot Limit 2-7 Double Draw, which has seen the love of our community in previous Festival stops. The event is played during the last 2 days of The Festival Bratislava. The first 8 levels will be played on Saturday with 40-minute levels, while play will continue on day 2 with 30 minute levels. Players can decide to jump into the action on day 2, with late reg open during the first 2 levels on day 2.
With also the €1,100 being scheduled at that very last day of the Festival in Bratislava, we are guaranteed to see some high-octane mixed game action until the very last moment!
Event #2: €125 Baby TORSES
You asked and we listened: multiple players have told us they would love to see a lower buy-in adaptation of the ever-growing TORSES Main Event and the baby TORSES is there to do exactly that!
Following this success of the TORSES Main Event, Baby TORSES will bring the same format and spirit at a smaller buy-in, making it accessible to a broader range of players while maintaining the competitive feel of winning that prestigious Mixed Games Main Event title.
As a reminder, these games are part of the TORSES events:
- 2-7 Triple Draw
- Omaha High-Low 8 or Better
- Razz
- Stud
- Stud High-Low 8 or Better
- Sviten
All these games are being played Fixed Limit, just like in the Main Event. The Baby TORSES will be played in a ‘Supreme’ format, meaning that levels are adjusted so that there will be action from the very first second of the tournament.
