The biggest tournament of The Festival Online over at 888poker this past weekend was a progressive knockout tournament with a buy-in of $109. The tournament recorded 1,072 entries and they played out $107,200 in prize money. The tournament began on Sunday and after the final nine players were found play was suspended until Monday night. The finalists returned Monday to play out the next major title in The Festival Online series. The entire final table was broadcast live on 888poker's Twitch channel, with David Tuchman and Nick Wealthall commentating on the action and offering viewers free raffles along the way.
It took two hours to find the last two players and the heads-up between dududantas95 from Brazil and DorianZimmer from Germany lasted more than 40 minutes. In the online poker world, that's a small eternity. In the end, it was the German who prevailed. In the last hand, he was all-in with Q-Q against A-4 and in the lead. The board brought T-8-4-K-7 and thus not enough help for dududantas95. DorianZimmer received $7,177 in prize money plus all the bounties he collected during the tournament, which added up to another $6,748.
