The Festival Series Rozvadov 2025 – Day 2 Recap

The Festival Series Rozvadov 2025 – Day 2 Recap

You could say Day 2 of The Festival Series here in Rozvadov is one for the record books. King's Resort saw a record break in the Hendon Mob Championship in terms of field size, and a second PLO title was awarded in as many days. Let's jump into what happened across the tournament floor today in Europe's largest poker room.

Partner: The Hendon Mob

A record-breaking field has been assembled across six flights to this year's Hendon Mob Championship. As it stands at the time of writing, 1,722 total entrants have been made across the flights from Prague and here in the Czech countryside, and this number will continue to grow long into the night as Flight 1D remains in play.

Still More to Come!

The tournament floor in Kings Resort, Rozvadov, Czechia at the Festival 2025 during the record breaking Hendon Mob Championship

With the record already broken, there is space for it to be completely shattered across the two flights that run tomorrow before all qualifiers come together to form the Day 2 field at 5 p.m. local time tomorrow evening.

To start tomorrow's play is Flight 1D, a turbo flight with 15-minute levels, kicking off at 11 a.m.

At 2 p.m., the final chance at a shot at Day 2 will commence, with a unique twist, so unique that it doesn’t even have a letter preceding the number. The Day 1 Flip and Go Pineapple takes place, which involves an 8-handed flip in the variant of Crazy Pineapple.

Day 1 Highlights!

A New Winner Emerges in the €250 PLO Masters

Oleksandr Sadovyi, €250 PLO Masters Champion 2025 The Festival Series, Rozvadov, Czechia

In the four-card streets, the Ukrainian national Oleksandr Sadovyi overcame a chip deficit heads-up versus Finland's Kare Valtteri Hallamaa.

The tournament ran for just over seven hours, similar to yesterday's €150 PLO Championship, which Horst Boeschen won.

A total of 11 found the money of the 85 total entrants, and the number quickly decreased with the final table being reached promptly after the bubble had burst. The Festival's main man, Martin "Franke" von Zweigbergk, found himself in the money in this particular event in what sounded like a rollercoaster ride up and down the chip counts.

Ultimately, he couldn't come out on top and fell in fifth place just before three-handed play was reached. Unlucky boss!

Congratulations to Sadovyi on winning this event. He will be the subject of the newest portrait, which will be displayed here at King's Resort. Below is the full table of results.
