The Festival to Co-Host two Events at the 2022 Luxon Pay MPP Cyprus
This summer, Luxon Pay is bringing together multiple big poker brands to organize one of the biggest poker events in Europe, the Luxon Pay Mediterranean Poker Party in Cyprus. We are happy to announce that The Festival Series will be part of this fantastic poker party and co-host two tournaments, bringing some extra spicy variety to the event.
About The Mediterranean Poker Party
The Mediterranean Poker Party (or short MPP) will be held in North Cyprus and offer tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $550 to a mind-boggling $210,000 buy-in for the Super High Roller Main Event. The headline event will be the $5,300 Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of $5,000,000. The Main Event runs from August 29 until September 3.
The core Luxon Pay Mediterranean Poker Party schedule gets underway with the $1,000 +$100 buy-in $1 million guaranteed MPP Open, taking place between August 19 - 23. Next up is the MPP Warm Up, a $2,000 + $200 entry $2 million guaranteed tournament running August 26 – 30 with the showcase $5,000 + $300 buy-in $5 million guaranteed MPP Main Event running August 29 – September 3.
A recent exciting addition to the schedule, the $10,000 buy-in One Drop Event will run August 28 - 29. Comparable to the Little One for One Drop at the WSOP, this tournament with unlimited re-entries has a special feature: when players agree to make an additional donation of $1,111 to the One Drop foundation, they will then see their starting stack double, going from 20,000 to 40,000 chips.
The MPP begins on August 19 and runs until September 19 with the last weeks hosting Triton Poker Series Cyprus. All tournaments are going to run in the newly opened Merit Royal Diamond Hotel which is home to one of the largest poker rooms on this side of the Atlantic with space for up to 200 tables.
The Festival Series at the MPP
The Festival Series will co-host two tournaments at the Luxon Pay Mediterranean Poker Party and bring some variation to the scene, offering two mixed game events.
On September 3 the MPP will run the TheFestival.com PLO 4/5/6 Event with a buy-in of $1,100. This tournament offers a mix of regular, 5-card and 6-card PLO over one day. On September 4 the MPP runs the TheFestival.com H.O.R.S.E. Tournament which has a buy-in of $550 and also runs over one day.
While the buy-ins at the Mediterranean Poker Party are quite a bit higher than the buy-ins we offer at our own Festival Series stops in Tallinn or Bratislava, we’re happy to bring the mixed game feeling that is such a vital part of our success to the Luxon Pay Mediterranean Poker Party.
