2025 The Festival Rozvadov Day 10

Finland’s Kare Hallamaa has been the runaway leader of the Player of the Series race at The Festival in Rozvadov for the last few days. 

On Sunday his nearest challenger, compatriot Ville Hakala, added a further 18 points to his total, seemingly closing the gap to first place to 34 points. However, the Main Event points have not yet been included in the leaderboard and Kare has 17 points for his 33rd place finish, which will be added after the Festival concludes. So Kare actually now has 236 points and is still 51 points clear of his rival. Ville has only closed the gap by one point.

There is nobody else who has a chance to catch Kare, as he is 95 points ahead of third placed ChippingLeaks. The Main Event will award 86 points to the winner, but that won’t be enough for any of the remaining 22 players who made the final day.

We believe the Ville may attempt to multi-table the remaining events in a last ditch attempt to snatch victory. Will be do it? Stay tuned to The Festival in Rozvadov blog to find out.

Walter Engelen has cashed in the €550 The Festival Series in 45th place for a score of €1,620. This may not sound much, but he qualified for €1 through a satellite online, winning a €1,850 package to qualify for the Main Event at King’s Resort here in Rozvadov.

He fired one bullet at the satellite, meaning he banked an ROI of 1620%.

Dimitri Bogdanov jammed Q 10 for seven big blinds and was called by Blerim Ibrahimi in the big blind who had 6 6 .

Ibrahimi flopped Bogdanov essentially dead on 2 4 6 , and the turn Q confirmed his exit from the tournament. The Q was salt in the wounds as Bogdanov improved to trips and Ibrahimi made a boat.

Fabian Bartuschk has won the €1,100 Open Face Chinese High Roller, besting Vlastimil Cerny heads-up in a grind that took around two hours. Below are the payouts.

A field of 18 remains in the PLO Turbo here at King’s Resort in Rozvadov. Ville Hakala and Allan Arjut are still in contention with yet another deep run here at the Festival Series, looking for additional cashes and leaderboard points. Here are the payouts.

Martin “Franke” von Zweighbergk bubbled the OFC, prompting him to declare: “I hate poker!” as he returned to the media desk.

Jiri Heidtke took third place for €2,153, leaving Vlastimil Cerny and Fabian Bartuschk heads-up for the title.

Bubbling a satellite always sucks.

Jonas Janavicius jammed from the button and Toni Vuolle called in the small blind. He had A 6 and was short-stacked, whilst Janavicius had a lot to play with.

The board ran out 4 Q 10 2 3 gave Janavicius top pair and sent Vuolle packing.

Kemal Soenmez finished in the money place for €852, but it appeared to me that he would have been much happier with the ticket.

Beatriz Camino has doubled her short-stack twice on the satellite bubble. She flopped a set with 8 8 having called a shove from the small blind whilst practically all in already in the big blind.

Pavel Stribrny jammed 6 4 and Camino took the pot across the 2 8 Q K J runout.

She was then all in again versus Stribrny with K 10 versus 10 7 . She made a flush across 5 2 2 3 8 .

The €1,100 NLH High Roller is underway at King’s Resort in Rozvadov. Seven players are in the field and will be joined by nine from the ongoing satellite. Bo Alm, who won the €30k GTD Texas NL last night, is putting some of his newly earned funds to use as he is in the field of seven.

In the satellite, nine tickets will be given, and the tenth will receive €852 for their efforts.

The field has been quickly whittled down to a total of 91. The remaining players have all guaranteed an extra €185 on top of their €1,000 min cash here at King’s Resort in Rozvadov.

Players to have recently been sent on an early and extended dinner include: Paul-Adrian Covaciu, David Vesely and Jordy Engelen.

Fabian Bartuschk has made his fourth entry just before the end of registration into the €1,100 Open Face Chinese High Roller here at King’s Resort in Rozvadov. He is one of five people left in contention to take down the title.

The Festival founder Martin “Franke” von Zweighbergk, on his second bullet, remains in the field, looking for his first win of the series.

The payouts have been formally released, and this year’s The Festival Series Main Event winner will take home over €90,000.

A total of 1,053 entrants have been streamlined to a field of 135 here at King’s Resort in Rozvadov. All who have retaken their seats at the tables have only one thing on their mind – holding all the chips at the end of play tomorrow. Stay tuned to keep up with the action.

Alexander Raab opened from middle position to 60,000 during level 21. The blinds 15,000/30,000 with a 30,000 big blind ante.

Action folded around and Maxim Ksenofontov moved all in for around 675,000. He had Raab covered and he made the call.

Raab was behind with A 10 and Ksenofontov had 7 7 , making it a fair fight. The Q 4 5 8 K runout meant that Raab would miss out on the €1,000 min-cash and a shot at Main Event glory.

Only 22 remain of the 147 total entrants that took to the felt this morning at King’s Resort in Rozvadov. Of the 22, 19 will progress to the marquee event of the Festival Series, the €550 Main Event.

There is a delay to the start of play due to this flight remaining in play and with flip and goes still in progress. Stay tuned for more information in a very rainy Rozvadov.

Get yourself up to the tournament registration area to enter the €550 flips to Day 2 of the Main Event. If you win a flip you will get an average stack in the Main Event Day 2, plus a min-cash of €1,100. It is the easiest, and now the only way to make Day 2.

Bo Alm of Sweden bested a field of 177 unique players, with 238 total entrants being made. He took down the title after beating Eden Vaturi of Israel heads-up in the small hours of this morning. The guaranteed prize pool of €30,000 ballooned to a massive €39,984! Below are the results in full.

The €550, €500,000 guaranteed Festival Main Event has officially passed the 1,000 entrants mark across all flights that have taken place here in Rozvadov.

1G has attracted 147 entrants, and 57 remain in the field, all of which will be hoping to progress to Day 2 of the marquee event, which commences at 4.30 p.m. local time today.

Poland’s Szymon Politowski (left) has been announced as the Cash Game Challenge winner, and Andreas Klimmer (right) of Germany is the Franke’s Flip Flop champion.

Both players have won a €1,600 Package to the next Festival Series in Malta.

Three events concluded on Saturday at The Festival in Rozvadov, but there hasn’t been much change at the top of the leaderboard. Kare Hallamaa from Finland still has a 52 point lead over compatriot Ville Hakala, with neither player cashing in further events. 

The only significant mover on the table is ChippingLeaks, whose 2nd place in the PLO moves him up from 8th to third, but that’s 77 points adrift of the leader.

But, it’s still not over and with two high roller events on Sunday, plus the Main Event still to finish (which will award 86 points to the victor), Kare can still be caught. The Festival Series’s turbo flight to The Main Event, 1E, has just topped 100 total entrants, taking the overall total entrants to 967 across all flights.
