High Roller tournaments at The Festival Series events

The Festival Series events are all about accessibility for all sort of poker players. Buy-ins go for as low as €30, all the way up to €1,100. The average buy-in of all tournaments is roughly €300, and with so many tournaments available on the schedule, you can imagine that the variety of buy-ins is massive. In this article, we will walk through the High Roller events we are offering at any of our events.

When do you categorize a tournament as 'High Roller'? When you dive deeper into it, there isn't really a treshold for the buy-in when to consider a tournament as High Roller. In any kind of tournament series, you will be able to find a High Roller tournament. But in all cases, the Main Event is taken as the example. For instance, when there is a buy-in of €100 for the Main Event, the High Roller tournament usually have a buy-in of €250. At the World Series of Poker, the Main Event is $10,000. Everything above that amount is considered as High Roller tournament.

At The Festival Series, our main events for our The Festival stop are set on €550, and during The Festivals Weekend it may vary but this year it's set on €555. Our High Roller tournaments come with a buy-in of €1,100, by default.

No-Limit Hold'em High Roller

The pinaccle format of poker, the No-Limit Hold'em tournament, comes with a buy-in of €1,100 and is often backed up with a guaranteed prize pool as well. At all our The Festival events, this tournament is available, and for 2026 this means that this tournament will be available in Malta (Sept 14-20) and in Tallinn (Nov 20-29). Winners of this tournament in the past were Manuel Fisher, Ersin Sancak, David Vedral, Gabor Deak, and Martin Ilavsky, among several others.

The total amount of entries for this tournament usually varies between 30 and 75 entries.

Pot-Limit Omaha

Omaha is a poker format that cannot be missed at any live poker series. At The Festival, as well as The Festival Weekend, we offer plenty of Omaha variants. During The Festival however, there is a High Roller available that goes with a buy-in of €1,100. Stan Samuiel, Graham Clarkson, Martin 'Franke' von Zweigbergk, Benedikt Hausmann, Sebastian Simovic, and Robert Svedin, are proud winners of the past for this tournament. In 2026, the same as with the NLH High Roller, the PLO High Roller tournament will be available in Malta (Sept 14-20) and in Tallinn (Nov 20-29).

The total amount of entries for this tournament usually varies between 20 and 50 entries.

Open Face Chinese

The Open Face Chinese High Roller tournament comes with a buy-in of €1,100, and is one of the two available tournaments in the format of Open Face Chinese usually. It's also often the case that the OFC High Roller tournament takes place on the final day of the series. Eran Lin, Fabian Bartuschk, Scott Kenyon, and Risto Ponnio, are recent winners of this tournament. Martin 'Franke' von Zweigbergk, owner of The Festival Series, is a huge fan of the Open Face Chinese game, and thus you will find this format at almost every event we offer. The tournament will be available at The Festival in Malta (Sept 14-20) and in Tallinn (Nov 20-29), but also at The Festival Weekend Tallinn (Jul 1-5).

The total amount of entries went from as low as 6 entries, all the way up to 20 entries. For such a niche poker format, this amount of entries is very sustainable.

10-Game Mix

The 10-Game Mix is a tournament format that has recently been introduced at The Festival Series. We've seen this game being played out during The Festival events (Bratislava, Malta, and Rozvadov), and now is also included in the upcoming The Festival Weekend Tallinn event. Sergii Baranov won the very first 10-Game High Roller edition in Bratislava 2026, where 44 entries had been made. At The Festival Rozvadov, the 10-game also returned on the schedule, but this time, it came with a buy-in of €350, just like we had in Malta 2025, where it made its debut. At The Festival Weekend Tallinn (Jul 1-5), the High Roller of the 10-Game Mix will be back with a buy-in of €1,100, and is scheduled as a two-day event on July 3 and July 4.

The total amount of entries in Bratislava 2026 was 44, and in Rozvadov 2026, a total of 36 entries were made. While at the debut of this format in Malta 2025, it reached a whopping 58 entries.

High Roller Events at The Festival Series events

The High Roller events at The Festival Series events (The Festival + The Festival Weekend), always have been well attended. As mentioned before, the buy-ins at The Festival are breathing accessibility, but we also want to make sure that players who are used to play higher buy-ins, also have formats available in their buy-in range. We will keep on throwing such High Roller events in the mix, and perhaps in the future, you will find tournaments that exceed a buy-in of €1,100!

See you at our next upcoming event, The Festival Weekend in Tallinn!
