Tight at the Top of Festival in Rozvadov Leaderboard
After Day 3 of The Festival in Rozvadov, Martin “Franke” von Zweigbergk has retained his lead, despite not even playing a single event on Thursday. He did however increase his total score by five points, thanks to his participation in the Mixed Games Main Event (TORSES) on Tuesday and now has a total of 59.75pts.
With Franke’s favourite formats OFC Pineapple and the Baby TORSES taking place on Friday, he’s definitely going to be back in the saddle and has a good chance to retain his lead again as we go into the final three days of the series.
The most significant climber of the day was Belorussian Siarhei “The Machine” Narozhny, who boosted his score on Thursday with two final tables, taking 6th in the TORSES and 5th in the 8-Game. He moves up to second place, just 2.25pt behind Franke, on 57.5pts. Narohzny, a mixed games specialist (aren’t they all at The Festival Series) has challenged for the Player of the Series title before, most notably here in Rozvadov in 2024, when he won the Seven Card Stud and made several final tables.
The other big climber of the day was Mimosha, winner of the Thursday PLO Bounty Madness, who debuts in the top ten at the number eight spot. The UK’s Matthew Hogger also moved up significantly, breaking into the top 5 thanks to a 5th place finish in the TORSES.
WSOP bracelet holder Jens Voertmann, who was one of the top performers at The Festival in Bratislava, has also made his presence felt during the first few days, cashing in 9th place in the Sviten on Tuesday and adding a 4th place finish in the 8-Game on Thursday. He is now the highest placed German player on the Player of the Series leaderboard, sharing 8th place on 41.25pts.
Mixed Games Main Event winner Richard Freitas sits just outside the top 20, in 23rd place on 31.25pts, while Bratislava Player of the Series Barrie Dear, who took 3rd place in the same event, moves up to 25th, on 30.5pts.
Friday’s Player of the Series Events
The race for the Player of the Series race continues on Friday, with four qualifying events concluding:
- Event #17 €350 Open Face Chinese Pineapple at 11.30am
- Event #19 €150 Baby TORSES (Supreme) at 6.30pm
- Event #8 €230 Bounty Hunter Days Final Day at 7pm
- Event #20 €175 20k NLH
The Main Event also continues today, but no scores from that will be added to the leaderboard until the final update at the end of the series.
