If you haven't heard or seen her yet, Ylva 'Jevakim' Thorsrud is a prominent Norwegian poker player and popular poker streamer known for her engaging style and community-focused approach. She's an Ambassador for one of our partners in the likes of Coolbet Poker and regularly visits our live stops throughout the year, among others. In the past years, we have had several interviews with her as well. Ylva began her poker journey in 2005 and initially played in online freerolls before making her move to live poker in Norway in 2006. Over the years, she has developed a strong affinity for mixed games, which she describes as improving her excitement in poker, particularly because of the welcoming and supportive nature of the mixed games community. And we agree to that, as it does feel like a 'home game' every single time players are competing in mixed games.
In recent years, Ylva expanded her influence through live-streaming both online and live poker. Her streams on Twitch, often without delay, bring an interactive element to poker as she shares her ups and downs, engages with her community, and discusses hands in real-time.
