The Festival Weekend Tallinn 2026 – Highlights Of The Tournament Schedule!

The Festival Weekend Tallinn 2026 – Highlights Of The Tournament Schedule!

With The Festival Series events, we aim big to promote mixed games wherever we go. We breathe mixed games, we offer mixed games, and we promote mixed games. Now, The Festival Weekend Tallinn is around the corner, and despite the fact that there is plenty of Hold'em to be played, the mixed games are shining as well from July 1st to July 5th.

The Festival Weekend is the 'little brother' of The Festival events that last usually a full week or more. The Weekend is edition is a more 'humble' version of it that usually lasts 4-5 days. However, the amount of tournaments that are available per day, are not so much different from each other. At The Festival Weekend in Tallinn, over 5 tournaments are being held each day on average. A bit less than half of them, are mixed games! In this article, we will walk through to some of the highlighted tournaments:

NLH 7-2 Special (Incl. INES rules)

Tired of the same old poker? Try the NLH 7-2 Special (Incl. INES rules), a fun and wild twist on No-Limit Hold'em. The goal is simple: win a hand with the worst starting cards, [7x][2x] offsuit, and every single player left in the tournament has to pay you one big blind. Imagine the rush of scoring a bonus from the whole room! Plus, with the "Once in a Lifetime" INES Rule, you get one special chance to re-enter after late registration ends, giving you double the starting stack for a second shot at glory. It’s a format built for action, with its origins in Estonia!

Sviten Special & Sviten 49

Looking for a fun and different poker game that gets you hooked immediately? Try the popular format Sviten Special, a split-pot game that mixes Five Card Omaha with Five Card Draw. You get five cards, there is a flop, you can swap some cards to make your hand better, and then you play for two halves of the pot: one half goes to the best Omaha hand, and the other half goes to the best Draw hand. It’s an action-packed game that creates big pots. There is also a cool version called Sviten 49 that we will introduce to the crowd in Tallinn, where instead of a draw hand, each card has points (Ace is 1, Jack/Queen/King are 0, every number card is equal to its points worth) and the player with the highest points, up to 49, wins that half of the pot. It’s easy to learn, super exciting, and a great break from regular Hold'em.

10-Game Mix

Get ready for the ultimate mixed games format at The Festival Weekend Tallinn! We are proud to announce our newest 'Crowne Jewel' High Roller event: the 10-Game Mix. This is not your usual tournament. We have thrown out all the Texas Hold'em games and replaced them with more fun, action-packed variants like Sviten Special, Pot-Limit Omaha, Badugi, Razz, and many more. It is a true test of skill to see who is the best all-around player. Spread over two exciting days, this event gives you a long time to play on Day 1 and a faster pace on Day 2, with a chance to re-enter if you bust early. It is the perfect way to end The Festival Weekend with a bang. Come and try something new, and prove you can master all ten games! If you see Andreas Hoglund at the tables of this tournament, be aware, he is a pro!

TORSES & Baby TORSES

If you love poker and want a real challenge, come and play TORSES at The Festival Weekend! This mixed game tournament takes the classic H.O.R.S.E. format, removes Texas Hold'em, and adds the exciting games of 2-7 Triple Draw and Sviten Special. It is a true test of skill where you play six different poker variants, all in one tournament. The action is fast, the thinking is deep, and the fun is non-stop, especially if you have Martin 'Franke' von Zweigbergk at your table. Not ready for the full Main Event? No problem! We also have Baby TORSES, which is a shorter, faster-paced version with many of the early levels cut out. It is the perfect way to try out mixed games in a relaxed setting and learn from our friendly community.

What Else To Expect?

The highlighted tournaments above are, without a doubt, to be considered as superb formats. But if you are really up for it, then we have also other variants available in both Hold'em and Mixed Games. Take for example the NLH PKO (With Live Straddle) tournament. This variant will make sure that you can do a straddle in tournament form, something which has not been done before as far as we know. Also, there is the Omahajack tournament, for which we will release a full 'The Festival Explains' article in the next couple days. It's a variant that is extremely popular among mixed games players.

Off course, don't forget our grand NLH Main Event that will be played in a Mystery Bounty Format!
