The Hendon Mob Championship Crowns New Winner on Day 4 of The Action Packed Festival in Bratislava

Another action-packed day has passed here at Banco Casino Bratislava, with numerous winners being crowned across a wide range of events. The Hendon Mob Championships saw a new champion crowned with the prestigious glass trophy and a €13,567 payday. The side events saw solid numbers across the board, with three winners being crowned in the €250 Sviten Special, the new kid on the block, the €125 Baby TORSES (Supreme), and the second High Roller of the week, the €1,100 NLH, saw the second five-figure payout of the day awarded. Here is what happened across the beautiful tournament floor in Banco.

€250 The Hendon Mob Championships

A field of 41 entered the day in pursuit of the beautiful Hendon Mob trophy. The field quickly lost 20 players within the opening few levels, as short-stacks failed to double up across the room. OFC Specialist Fabian Bartuschk and back-to-back Main Event Winner Sebastian Kotowicz were two of the early eliminations. By the time 14 were left, Oleksii Lezhepokov was atop the counts in a commanding position over the field, with a stack twice the size of the average, despite coming into the Day with a stack on the shorter end of the spectrum, of 186,000.

Ole Karlsen was the unfortunate player to miss out on final table play, as he fell victim to the bubble in a flip. Lezhepokov still had the chip lead, and Marco Herman was the first casualty of final table play, and Joakim Bakke was next to follow him to tournaments anew.

The Hendon Mob Championship Final Table

Walodik Gregorian and Peter Toth departed in 7th and 6th place. Ralf Mikk came into the final table fairly short and maneuvered well. He managed to ladder up as Lezhepokov's stack found its way into the hands of the opposition. Mikk was then trending up and was starting to build a stack.

The next elimination saw Lacaze on the wrong side of a cooler. He jammed J J into Narajczyk, who had A A . He made a boat with K A 9 8 9 to eliminate Lacaze and to play three-handed. Paliogiannis had the largest share before that pot, and his advantage grew stronger. Mikk's run came to an end shortly after, and he missed out narrowly on a second heads-up battle this week, having finished second in the €250 Heads-Up tournament.

Andreas Paliogiannis

Paliogiannis had around a 3:1 chip advantage on his opponent, and the tournament concluded with a pretty tasty hand. In a limped pot preflop between himself and Igor Narajczyk. The flop of 10 10 A Q J was checked down. The turn received another round of knuckles before Paliogiannis moved all in on the river and got snap called by Narajczyk.

Paliogiannis had a full house with Q Q , and Narajczyk had K 8 for Broadway. Below are the final table payouts.

€250 Sviten Special

The Festival has been advocating for Sviten Special since its inception in 2021. We were on pace to top our own record in terms of entrants, but fell just short as 132 was needed to top last year's Bratislava turnout. This time around, 123 took to the felt in one of Sweden's most famous exports since Ikea and Abba.

Matt Kelley

The game attracted players from across the world, with Matt Kelley flying in from Baltimore exclusively for the Mixed Games. Current record holder for All Time Cashes, Ari Engel, also made the journey over from across the pond, looking to add to his massive $9,000,000 in total live tournament earnings with a Festival Series title. Martin 'Franke' von Zweigbergk liked the tournament so much that he bought in five times and then bubbled.

After a marathon day at the felt, and probaby a substantial amount of jetlag, Engel rose to the top of the counts and won his fist ever Festival Series trophy. Below are the final table payouts.

€1,100 High Roller

The €1,100 High Roller saw a few potentially interesting plot lines develop. In the field was Sebastian Kotowicz, who had just bagged a stack for the Main Event. Samuiel Stan was looking to win the second High Roller title of the week, having won the PLO High Roller, and Igor Narajczyk was fresh of a runner-up finish in The Hendon Mob Championship.

Three Slovakians entered the fray. Andrej Tekel and Patrik Ciklamini departed early, but Martin Ilavsky had other ideas. He took down the title and denied Stan his second High Roller of the week. The tournament ended in an ICM deal in the very small hours of this morning. Below are the payouts.
