The Festival Series 2024 Countdown #3: Poker Action Heating Up in Malta Sept. 8-15
For the first time in The Festival Series history it was time to head to the Rock in 2023. Malta was scheduled just before the opening of the summer, and Portomaso Casino would get a taste of all the mixed games action which The Festival Series brings along. It would turn out to be a great success, resulting in big playing fields in mixed games such as the 8-Game, H.O.R.S.E, and the PLO tournaments. The regular Main Event became a prey for Norwegian Festival Series fanatic Oystein Brenden, collecting €60,700! In 2024, the weather will be from a different level for sure, as this time it will be in the heart of the Summer!
All three dates for next year's stops were already announced by us during the previous stop, and now it's time to reveal the locations which go along with that one by one! Portomaso Casino will be the stage from September 8th - 15th, and it will be once again an incredible experience on perhaps the biggest poker island in Europe.
Not only does Malta offer great poker action, the island is a real holiday destination for people all around the globe with many beautiful and historical places to visit such as Golden Bay, the island of Gozo, Blue Lagoon, Popeye Village, and the many Temples across the whole country.
We are extremely proud to add Malta once again to our schedule for 2024, as it meets literally all expectations for our players. Especially when the location brings a great opportunity to bring the family along for a well-deserved holiday!

The Festival Series made its Malta debut in 2023 at the Portomaso Casino where Norwegian Oystein Brenden bested a field of 617 entries and took home €60,700 and the Main Event title. The runner-up of this event, Balasz Somodi, became the 'Player of the Series' as he performed overall the best of all players participating in every event on the rock. It was a dream coming true for the founder of The Festival Series Martin 'Franke' von Zweigbergk, as one of the most loyal players of the event in the name of Oystein Brenden took down the biggest prize of the event. The Norwegians are close to the heart of The Festival Series, as a result of their relentless passion for the poker game and endless enthusiasm for bringing to, and around, the poker tables.
