Save the Dates – The Festival Comes to Malta (May 15 – 21)

While The Festival in Bratislava’s Final Table will be played today, we’re already looking into the future. After we have already announced our next stop in Nottingham, we’re happy to reveal our second stop for the next year. The Festival will come to Malta in May 2023.

The first Festival event on the Mediterranean island will take place in the Portomaso Casino in St. Julians from May 15 - 21.

The Festival in Malta will run for one week and we will bring our successful concept of combining poker, roulette, blackjack and slots tournaments to the Portomaso Casino in St. Julians.

The most important event of the week will, as usual, be the poker Main Event which will have a buy-in of €550. Besides the Main Event, we will run dozens of poker side events and with plenty of the popular Festival mixed game action sprinkled in. Side events will include the Sviten Special, 8-Game, H.O.R.S.E., Open Face Chinese and Mixed PLO tournaments.

The Festival in Malta will also have a Blackjack and Roulette Championship, a Slots Tournament and Sports Betting Competitions. You can expect another action-packed week with many different events each day. Buy-ins will range from €125 to €1,100 and you can expect satellites with much lower buy-ins and players will of course be able to win Main Event seats and packages online.

The Festival in Malta will be the fifth stop of the series. After stops in Bratislava (twice) and Tallinn, the series will go to Nottingham, UK in February of 2023 and now to Malta in May.

The Festival Series was the first to combine poker in all its variations with popular casino games – roulette, blackjack and slots. This combination of casino action, coupled with daily off-the-table activities and parties, proved to be a smash hit with all players that enjoy low-priced casino and poker games during three different stops so far, the most recent being the Festival in Bratislava which boasted a spectacular 1,271 entries in the €550 NLH Main Event.

The Festival in Malta will be a week-long poker and casino holiday in a fantastic location. Players can win tickets and full packages via many different online partners in the months leading up to the event.

Martin “Franke” von Zweigbergk, founder of The Festival Series is thrilled about coming to the Portomaso: “Malta is the perfect poker destination and the Portomaso Casino has a long history of successfully hosting big poker tournaments. I’m really happy that we will be able to make The Festival in Malta a reality thanks to Jonathan Micallef and the Portomaso Casino. All our players will have a fantastic poker and casino holiday in Malta next May!

More details regarding the Festival in Malta will be released here in the coming months.
